Lucas was once one of those regular guys who uploaded acoustic mashups on Youtube in the hopes of getting discovered. Little did he know, that his acoustic mashup of one of Popcaan’s jams would go viral and that he would be invited by the dancehall artist himself to perform in Jamaica with him. Ever since that magical moment, history was made. He got the a-okay from well-known artists such as Kardinal Offishal, Stylo G and Popcaan and started recording music for his upcoming debut EP with Stephen McGregor. It’s not anyone who gets a chance to record at the legendary Tuff Gong studios, but Lucas DiPasquale did.
10 Days In Jamaica… Lucas DiPasquale [VLOG]
He’s being dubbed ‘Toronto’s Best Kept Secret’, but we don’t think he should be kept from the masses. Lucas DiPasquale is the next best musician and artist to come out of the ‘6’, and he’s got some legendary stuff in the works. We’ve got your first-look (above) at the exclusive short-documentary following the kid down in Jamaica when he went to visit recently. You’ll see the type of reactions he’s been getting there. The feature also includes a Behind-The-Scenes look at the filming of his first music video, interactions with his Jamaican fans and a shoutout from Kardinal Offishall.
