Beenie Man’s Romie Sampled in Fate Of The Furious

Beenie man’s song Romie is sampled in the hit song Good Life, the soundtrack to Fate of The Furious, 20 years after it was first released.

“Last year Drake sampled Tear Off Mi Garment in Controlla an’ den Big Sean also did a sample of one of my songs. Sampling basically has given me a platform where I can reintroduce myself to the music world,” Beenie Man said in an interview with Splash.

The soundtrack was released April 14 by Atlantic Records and Universal Music Group. It has 14 tracks including songs from Migos, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Lil Uzi Vert, Kevin Gates, Pitbull, and Wiz Khalifa.

“It’s always a great thing as a producer when your work is being sampled as long as you are given credit. At the end of the day it’s your body of work that lives on,” Patrick Roberts, head of Shocking Vibes Productions said

The Fate of The Furious stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Scott Eastwood, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky, Kurt Russell, and Charlize Theron.

The movie so far has a worldwide gross of over US$914 million.
