Usain Bolt still wants to play football at Man-U

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has never shied away from his love for the club Manchester United and in his latest interview he joked that United may be missing out on superstar.

Louis van Gaal has previously stated that he hopes to sign a “speedy winger” in January and Bolt – the world’s fastest man – reckons his club would like what they see if they gave him the chance to impress.

Speaking to MUTV, Bolt said: “In my mind I think I should do a trial and see if they would say ‘Alright, come on in’ or if they would say ‘No, you are not any good’

“I think I would be pretty good because I am fit, I am quick, I can control the ball and I understand all of the play.

Usain Bolt has joked that Manchester United would give him a five-year deal if they saw him play

“So I think if I do a trial then they would say, ‘You know what, here is a contract for five years! You are 30 years old, here’s a five-year contract. Let’s just do it!'”

United travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday (12.45pm) to take on Watford.

A win would would put Bolt’s team top of the table, for a while a least, before Leicester and Arsenal play their matches at 3pm.
