According to media reports Waldiman Thompson and his wife, Ethlin lived in their Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstone in NYC for decades, but on Wednesday October 11, 2017, at about 3:15 p.m., four men broke into their home on Decatur St. near Marcus Garvey Blvd.
They threw a blanket over Ethlin Thompson’s head and tied the pair both up and started rummaging through the home, reports.
Mrs. Thompson managed to free herself and leave the house after the thieves left, then called 911.
Cops arriving on the scene found Mr. Thompson tied up and unconscious inside the house. He was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Thompsons were married for 30 years.
Reports are that the couple had emigrated from Jamaica to the United States.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
