Alkaline turned himself in… Will spend Tonight in police custody

Dancehall artiste Alkaline is spending the night in police custody after turning himself in to the police early this morning in the presence of his attorney, Peter Champagnie.

On Tuesday police said Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to an ongoing murder probe of Rohan ‘Head’ Morris of Maverley, St Andrew who was killed on January 13.

“He is still with us. He will be with us for tonight,” Senior Superintendent of Police Clinton Laing told The Star.

The entertainer, whose given name is Earlan Bartley, along with his attorney, Peter Champagnie, reported to the Area 4 police headquarters in Kingston this morning for a question-and-answer session with investigators

Alkaline was later taken to the Criminal Investigation Branch for further questioning.
