Conor McGregor Was ‘Knocked Out’ By Sparring Partner Ahead Of His Fight Against Floyd Mayweather

Conor McGregor’s boxing career may not be getting off to a good start. On the heels of a high-profile, but mostly unappealing international world tour to promote his August 26 bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr., rumours have surfaced about McGregor’s inefficiency during sparring sessions.

Former world champions Jessie Vargas and Brandon Rios told Villainfy Media that McGregor had already been “knocked out in sparring” in preparation for the bout.

‘I heard that they tried Bradley Wheeler but he knocked him out’, Vargas told Villainfy Media. Vargas added that he was confident of a Mayweather victory in the fight and was considering placing a bet on the American knocking out McGregor.

‘I’m looking forward to Floyd coming out with a victory by knockout in six, seven rounds,’ he added. ‘I have no doubt. I actually wanna put some money on it. It’s a 99 per cent win.’

Here’s the video interview. The statement comes at the 2:05 mark of the video below:
