Hot dancehall artiste Gage is creating waves with his latest single Tun Up. The track was produced by
Dutty Fridaze and it is already hot on the streets.
The artiste whose real name is Ryan Douglas, says the feedback to Tun Up has been overwhelming not
only in Jamaica but in overseas markets as well.
‘The feedback on the song has been great both locally and internationally. Trinidad was the inspiration for
the song because of their soca vibes’, said Gage.
To increase the promotion of the song, a music video is being planned.
‘We are getting ready to shoot a few videos including Tun Up, Let Me Be and Still a Love it. The fans can
look out for a lot from Gage’, he said.
Gage recently burnt several stages leaving his fans begging more. His recent performances in April
include Clarendon, St Mary and St Vincent and the Grenadines. He has confirmed performances in
Trinidad as well as in the New York tri-state area.
There are also plans for a tour over the next few months.
Born Ryan Douglas, the 25 year old entertainer began his musical journey while a teenager attending the
Denbigh High School in May Pen, where he recognized his passion for music. Since then his life became
all about music. He developed this desire by entering various major competitions locally, such as the
popular Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall and many clashes for Moby’s Records. They became
the stepping stone for Gage. From this experience he learned to appreciate the art of performing and also
the true meaning of good competition.
Among his hits are In Deh In Deh, Kitty Cat and Burning Sun.
