Jamaican Sprint Legend Usain Bolt Rank High On Forbes Highest Paid Athletes Of 2016

Jamaica’s Sprint Legend Usain Bolt has made the top 40 of Forbes highest paid athletes of 2016.

The list which is top by Real Madrid super star Cristiano Ronaldo $88 million followed by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi $81.4 million marks the second time an individual from a team sport lead the Forbes rankings since they began in 1990.

Bolt earned a total of $30 million from endorsements deals and $2.5 million in salary/winning which brought is total earnings for 2016 to $32.5 million and placed him at number 32 on the list.

Bolt has 10 global partners, along with seven regional ones. Puma is his biggest backer with a deal worth north of $10 million a year.

According to Forbes Bolt is the Jamaican sprinter is in a class by himself in terms of his marketing prowess and can only be compared to global icons like Messi, LeBron and Ronaldo.
