Jamaican/German Reggae Artiste Zahnarzt Readi Fi Di Road

Mark A Wright was born on the 22nd March 1967 on Minstrel St. Jones Town Kingston. Mark is the Second of six children born to Hyacinth and James Wright.

Mark`s Family moved to Manchester in 1970 and there he attended the Frankfield Primary School then on to Pratville Secondary School.

At the tender age of seven Mark had shown great interest in music and singing and of course with musical background from his mother, who is also a singer. Mark was encouraged greatly by her to pursue his dream of becoming a professional Singer one day.

Mark at the age of fourteen had his first stage performance at a dance and had what was dubbed at the time (Mash up The Place).

After that too many persons to mention had requested him to come and nice up their dance.

Mark did his first CD in 1989 and started to move around with some know Artist such as, Gregory Isaac, Zizzla, Charlie Chaplin and others. His first single was “Preach the Gospel” with Colour Man.

Mark went away to Germany in the year 2000 and did his first Official Stage performance there in Cologne, Stadtgarten and Essen, Coffe Cuba, which gave him an opportunity to be exposed to the Germany audience. In Germany he shared stage with the famous Alpha Blonde, Bunny Wailer and many others.

It was there that he acquired the name Zahnartz which means Dentist.

Zahnartz is currently in Jamaica promoting his new release “Readi Fi Di Road” and “Where Were You”, which were written, voiced and produced by the artiste while in Germany

He continues to work in various recording studios in Germany and Jamaica to release new songs, as well as getting in a preparation mode to perform for his German and Jamaican fans. He also looks forward to performing on major stages across the globe.
