Jay Z is keeping a Concert for Hillary Clinton in Ohio to get black voters

Jay-Z along with wife Beyonce is no stranger to the political arena having publicly supported President Obama in the 2012 US Presidential Election. They are strong supporters of the Democratic Party and in recent times were seen chilling with Bill Clinton (a former President and husband of the Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton) in Philadelphia.

According to BuzzFeed News, Jay-Z will hold a concert in Cleveland, Ohio aimed at mobilizing young black voters for Hillary Clinton. While the exact date isn’t set yet, there are rumors that Cleveland Cavs superstar LeBron James, who endorsed Clinton earlier this month, could make an appearance.

Ohio was won by Obama in 2008 and 2012, helped by the large turnout of young voters. Hence, rapper Jay-Z is seeking to use his musical influence to encourage the African American community to come out in support of Hillary Clinton.

As reported by BuzzFeed news “the Clinton campaign has struggled to excite young black voters”. Polls have suggested, however, that Trump could get zero percent of the black vote in Ohio.
