When asked to describe the difference in the 2 singles, Jus D. stated “Give It To Me represents the uptempo side of future Soca with its EDM, Dancehall and AfroBeats influences, while “Perform” is in the vein of the sweet Soca energy for which Barbados is famous.” he continued, “the futuristic elements lie in the samples and melodies throughout the song”.
“Perform” features versatile Jamaican singjay I-Octane who lays down a smoldering verse over Jus D’s melodic production. “From Paul [Parris] sent me the tune while I was on tour in Europe, I knew it was a hit” Octane raved, “I voiced my part when I got back to Jamaica and mi nah lie, this song is going far”
Jus D. featuring I-Octane “Perform” is set for release Friday, June 24th.
