Licensed Firearmed Holder Kills Man Attempting To Rob A Minibus

A man was shot dead by a licensed firearm holder after he attempted to rob a Coaster bus with passengers on Spanish Town Road in Kingston, early Monday morning.

The police say a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver with five rounds of ammunition was taken from him.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Kingsley Gunter, otherwise called ‘Gummy’, of First Street in Trench Town, Kingston 12.

According to reports, the bus was travelling along Spanish Town Road around 5:45 when the two men attempted to rob passengers.

The driver and another man were shot during the robbery. The license firearm holder reportedly intervened and shot one of the men. The licensed firearm holder, who was also shot.

The injured persons were taken to hospital where the gunman was pronounced dead.
