Grammy Award Winning Producer Pay Day Gearing up to Launch Lutan Fyah’s EP.
Pay Day Music will be starting off the year on a very high note by releasing Lutan Fyah’s much anticipated EP dubbed, “More Blessings.” The 7 track EP carries an original reggae feel not like the modern reggae beats and is the first EP released for Pay Day Music this year.
“As you can see, reggae music is turning for the better on the international scene and the truth is we Jamaicans are not putting out enough effort when it comes to reggae music. Lutan is a very talented artiste somehow over looked locally but he is getting there fast and he is also has a huge following worldwide that keeps growing by the second.
Pay Day Music group has been working a number of projects for the past. One of the biggest productions, the Dark Room Medley enjoyed its fair share of success and is still ripping up the airwaves. The riddim features Iyara, Navino, Masicka Prince Pin and many more.
“One thing with Pay Day is that I work with the Giants in the business and upcoming artistes as well. I give everybody there fair chance and as long as you have the talent, I am willing to work with you.
According to Kevin, though he did a lot of projects in the past year, 2014 was more about business ventures and putting in place that structure for his business.
“I have launched my T Shirt line Self Driven Ts which will be ready for this month. I have been getting a lot of local and international support and I am very grateful for that.”
Pay Day Music will be going hard for the rest of the year; he will be releasing three riddims and will be starting off with the Opium Riddim. Pay Day will be working on a few EPs for this year as well and in addition he will be putting a lot of focus on upcoming artiste Jonelle who is currently under his management.
“I have already finished Lutan Fyah’s EP, I will be doing one with Bounty Killer, Iyara and one with Solution. Jonelle is another project of mine that I am working with and trust me Jamaica you will be hearing that name across the airwaves. She just did a single with Navino that has been getting a lot of attention and she will be doing another collaboration but this time with the lyrical genius Masicka.”
He continues,” It is not a rush thing for me, I believe in putting out good quality production, I put music where it is suppose to go. Everybody knows that I am in no competition with anybody. I don’t care who says they run Jamaica, I am bigger than that, I just do good music.”
He adds “When I was doing music back in the days, I was just working and enjoying myself and I won a Grammy, so basically I am just doing music and will continue to do it well.
