Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will begin the year as the 75thranked team in the world according to the first official release of the 2015 FIFA/Coca Cola Rankings.
The Jamaicans are maintaining their position from the year ending release in December that saw them dropping 4 places from the release in November.
Arch-rivals Trinidad and Tobago meanwhile continue to be the highest ranked Caribbean team and joint 4th in CONCACAF overall after maintaining their position from the previous ranking at number 55 while Haiti fell one place to 73.
Cuba, who was the worst affected Caribbean team from the last ranking in December, remained at 113.
Brazil 2014 quarterfinalists Costa Rica 16, Mexico 20 and the United States 27 are the top three teams from CONCACAF.
World champions Germany continues to lead the rankings ahead of beaten finalist Argentina with Colombia, Belgium and the Netherlands completing the top 5 places.
The rest of the top 10 includes Brazil, Portugal and France who are joint 7th as well as Spain and South American champions Uruguay.
Algeria is the highest placed African team at 18.
