It was no surprise when Beenie Man was assigned the task to close one of Reggae Sumfest’s toughest nights of the festival, as only a few entertainers can successfully do just that, but Beenie’s way is just special.

Dressed in an all-white three piece suit, his stage presence was unmatched, his delivery hit every note and the appreciation from his fans was shear inspiring. From his huge catalogue of hits, Beenie Man unleashed a superb performance that left fans pleased.

There was, however, a low point at the festival during I-Octane’s performance, as several supporters of the deejay lit a huge fire in the crowd that created a brief disruption and forced many patrons to run for safety. Members of the police force were also attacked as they tried to restore calm and order in the area where the fire was started. The incident was short-lived and the show went on safely to see other major acts gracing the stage.
