Rihanna is also sitting comfortable in some historic Hot 100 territory. She is the only artist with No. 1 Hot 100 singles from seven consecutive studio albums and the third act to spend the most weeks at No. 1. She is also the third artist with the most No. 1 singles with a total of 14, passing Michael Jackson’s record of 13.
Elsewhere on the chart, Justin Bieber continues to hold strong with “Love Yourself” securing the No. 2 spot. His other Purpose track, “Sorry,” has since fallen to the No. 8 spot, but he still has two songs in the top ten. Twenty One Pilots and Flo Rida continue to hold in the top five with singles, “Stressed Out” and “My House,” respectively. ZAYN’s debut Mind of Mine single, “Pillowtalk,” spends another week at the No.
6 spot. Meanwhile, Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” peaks in the final spot of the top ten. Posner released the song in the summer of 2015 but a recent remix by Norwegian production duo SeeB has shot the song to a new level of success. Posner’s last top ten single was back in 2010 with “Cooler Than Me.” It should be noted that Ariana Grande’s new track, “Dangerous Woman,” is not eligible to chart until next week.
