The Weekend’s “Starboy” Album Debuts At No. 1

The Weekend album “Starboy” is expected to sell over 350,000 copies in its first week. This would give him another number one Album after his second studio album “Beauty Behind The Madness,” which featured the hits The Hills and Can’t Feel My Face became his first Number 1 album in 2015.

“Starboy” features guest appearances from the likes of Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Daft Punk. The album made its debut on Black Friday following much publicity from the Canadian singer and his team. Of the expected 400K copies, roughly 225,000-275,000 are expected to be from traditional album sales, while the rest from streaming, HITS Daily Double reported.

In the meantime The Weeknd is getting ready to hit the road for his “Legend of the Fall” tour in support of the album. The tour kicks off in Europe in February before hitting North America in April and again in Europe over the summer.
