Usain Bolt Set To face Omar McLeod In Monaco Diamond League Meeting

Track & Field legend Usain Bolt and Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod are set to clash in a spectacular 100m showdown at the Monaco Diamond League meeting on Friday, according to the provisional starting list which was published on Tuesday.

The event marks Bolt’s first appearance over the distance since visiting German doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt in June with a stiff back after labouring to a rusty 10.06sec win at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava.

Bolt at the time insisted he would be ready for the world championships, which begin on August 5, saying: “I never worry. I always tell you guys if my coach is not worried, I am not worried. I just need to go to my doctor and get everything checked out to make sure everything is smooth and continue training so when my next race in Monaco comes, I’ll see where I am at.”
