Usian Bolt Could Regain His Status As Triple-Triple Champion

Embattled sprinter Nesta Carter has filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the decision to strip him and his 2008 men’s 4x100m team-mates of their relay gold.

Carter’s sample from the Beijing 2008 Olympics was found to contain the substance Methylhexaneamine during re-analysis in 2016.

The announcement was made last summer by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that Carter was among 31 athletes that competed at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 who failed drug retests for banned substances.

Providing that Carter is successful with his appeal, his vindication would also see Bolt regaining his status as the triple-triple champion.
