The murder trial for popular Dancehall artiste Vybz kartel and 4(four) other co-accused in the killing of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams resumes today January 23rd, 2014 in the Home Circuit Court in Downtown, Kingston. This morning police witness Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton testified to seeing a man with the stick of a pickaxe in a phone video confiscated in the investigation of the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. Linton testified that on October 22, 2011, he retrieved a BlackBerry phone and used a device to power the instrument. He told the court that he extracted the data to his forensic work station. The policeman said the data extracted contained video and audio files, photographic images, documents and other files. He said in one of the videos, he saw several persons. The witness said one of the persons was a light-skinned man, with the word “Boss” tattooed on his right forearm. Detective Sergeant Linton said the word was clearly visible and was in bright red ink. He also said he saw a man holding the stick of a pickaxe. Today’s afternoon session of the Vybz Kartel murder trial had to be abandoned after a juror fell ill and had to be taken to hospital. Presiding judge Justice Lennox Campbell informed the court of the juror’s ill health when the case resumed this afternoon. The jury was then dismissed and asked to return tomorrow. ALSO Yesterday, the prosecution tendered into evidence four mobile phones, an iPhone and three BlackBerry devices. They were submitted by Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton, who was formerly attached to the Cybercrime Unit of the police force. Linton told the court he received the cell phones from a Detective Corporal Albert Pitt from the Police Flying Squad on October 3, 2011. Adidja Palmer aka Vybz Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John for murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. The Police believes that ‘Lizard’ was killed on August 16, 2011 over two(2) years ago at Vybz karel’s Home in Havendale, St Andrew. Lizard was allegedly killed in relation to 2(two) missing guns, Lizard’s body is yet to be found.
