The murder trial for popular Dancehall artiste Vybz kartel and 4(four) other co-accused in the killing of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams which was scheduled to end sometime last week trags on to Today Wednesday March 12th, 2014 in the Home Circuit Court, (Downtown) Kingston. This week marks a four-month-old trial, the longest in Jamaicas History. The unavailability of one juror in the Vybz Kartel murder trial has forced a delay in the start of today’s proceedings in the Home Circuit Court. It is not clear why the juror from the 11-member panel is unavailable but the court is awaiting confirmation on whether it can sit today. Presiding judge, Lennox Campbell, was expected to resume his summation of the evidence in the case at 10 o’clock this morning. He is expected to complete the review of evidence from Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton, a former head of the Police Cybercrimes Unit. The policeman had introduced call records, text messages and voice notes in the trial. The judge has reviewed the evidence of 13 of 24 witnesses called in the case. Vybz Kartel Trial: Judge tells jurors to examine carefully the complaints of the defence Adidja Palmer aka Vybz Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John for murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. The Police believes that ‘Lizard’ was killed on August 16, 2011 over two(2) years ago at Vybz karel’s Home in Havendale, St Andrew. Lizard was allegedly killed in relation to 2(two) missing guns, Lizard’s body is yet to be found.
