Vybz Kartel’s Trial today January 6, Jurors and the media again barred

The murder trial for popular Jamaican dancehall entertainer Adidja Palmer aka Vybz Kartel and four co-accused is scheduled to return to the courts today January 6. The jury and members of the public, including the media, have been in and out of court as Former head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Cybercrime Unit, Patrick Linton gives testimony and evidence. When the trial resumed this morning, the jurors and the media were again barred as lawyers made submissions to the judge in relation to the in-camera hearing. Vybz Kartel, and the other four(4) co-accused for the killing of dancer Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams will appear in the Home Circuit Court, Downtown, Kingston today to answer to charges laid against them. The Police believes that Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams was killed on August 16, 2011 two(2) years ago at Vybz karel’s Home in Havendale, St Andrew. Earlier… Digicel expert witness, Mario Assaad, testified on Friday that he is unable to determine whether or not text messages police say they recovered from cellphones belonging to Vybz Kartel did in fact originate from those cell phone devices. He went on to say that SIM cards can be cloned. On the other hand the police had reported that they have video and audio recordings linking Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants to the murder of lizard.
