Website posts Sizzla's death

For the second time, rumours of the death of reggae superstar Sizzla Kalonji have been circulating. The latest being in a motor vehicle crash that was said to have occurred on June 24….the fabricated report about Sizzla was originated by Global Associated News who is responsible for several other death hoaxes about entertainers such as Keanu Reeves, Eddie Murphy and David Guetta.

The information released by Global Associated News read:

“Sizzla Kalonji died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident – June 24, 2012

Highway Safety investigators have told reporters that Sizzla Kalonji lost control while driving a friend’s vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly.

The vehicle was believed to have been travelling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that Sizzla Kalonji’s car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the centre lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether he was driving under the influence, however, initial findings indicate that drugs or alcohol did not contribute in any way to this accident as it was more likely to been caused by road conditions.

Memorial services for Sizzla Kalonji have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

The ‘Route 80’ car crash hoax has been used several times by Global Associated News. Among the latest stars to have ‘died’ include hip-hop acts Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa. Up to yesterday, some fans of the entertainer were still unsure as to what actually happened.

There have been mixed reactions to the news by the public.

Since the spread of the hoax, several fans of the entertainer took to social networking website such as Facebook and Twitter, some expressing their condolences and some in disbelief that Sizzla is dead.

“When I see it on the news I will believe it if Sizzla is dead or not,” one fan in disbelief tweeted.

Another read, “Yea! Dem need fi stop pronounce sizzla dead now … Every month him dead..”

On a Facebook page titled ‘Sizzla Kalonji’ some fans posted R.I.P.’s while other queried whether the star is dead.
