Dancehall Artiste Aidonia’s debut EP titled “Project Sweat” has soared to the number 39 spot on the iTunes 200 Album Chart, after announcing that the compilation was available to consumers who wish to pre-order. It is expected to be released on August 28.
Executively produced by 4thGenna Music and distributed by 21st Hapilos, ‘Project Sweat’ features eleven tracks and will be on all major digital platforms.
The local album release party is set for Wednesday, September 2 at Gallis Wednesday HQ.
An official video for the lead single titled ‘Nuh Boring Gyal’ will premiere concurrently with the release of the EP.
Meanwhile, the deejay was the recipient of recent criticism following an interview where he stated that a lot of artistes in the local industry were not getting the deserved respect.
He went further to explain that throughout his travels he has seen several acts doing very well in those space, yet they are not given due justice in Jamaica.
Another point of contention was the mindset that artiste have to flood the airwaves with ‘disposable music’ in order to be perceived as being ‘hot’…a notion he quickly rubbished citing that music must be about quality and not quantity.
