As part of the celebrations to mark his decade-long run in the music industry, singer and actor Christopher Martin will be hosting a back-to-school treat and concert in his community.
Set for August 28, the event will be free and is being held in an effort to aid parents with the back-to-school process. It will be held at the Watermount Primary School, St Catherine, and promises to be an evening of fun and entertainment.
The concert will not only treat the children to back-to-school supplies, but, as a bonus, will entertain children with a musical showdown put on by Martin and his team.
Set to be backed by JamDonz Band, Martin and a few of his friends from the music fraternity will share the stage as they provide wholesome entertainment for the entire family.
Martin said he was grateful for the support he has received throughout the 10 years.
“Time flies, and 10 years feels like yesterday. I am grateful each day and thankful for the support, thus far, from the Almighty, my family, my friends and my fans,” he said.
“That is essentially what makes me a big deal, the consistent love and support. I hold it dear and this is my opportunity to pay it forward with this small act of giving back.”
The event has been endorsed by several corporate companies and Martin is grateful for their support.
“Thank you to my corporate friends, such as Digicel, Wisynco, Reggae Jammin, National Bakery, Logo Stitch, Bolt Express Tours, Fundaciones and RD Studios,” he said.
