Michael Ricketts has been appointed the new president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) after a beating Ambassador Stewart Stephenson at Saturday’s voting congress.

Ricketts received the votes of eight parish associations, while Stephenson got five.

The position became vacant when sitting JFF President Captain Horace Burrell died of cancer in June of this year.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Ricketts as the new President of the Jamaica Football Federation. The elections were held today September 16 at 2pm. The #JFF wishes Mr. Ricketts all the best in his 2 year tenure as President.” JFF announced on their official Instgram account.
