Miss Jamaica World 2017: Solange Sinclair Ready To ‘Bring The Miss World Crown To Where It Belongs’

Solange Sinclair, a 24-year-old public relations consultant and grand-daughter of late actress Madge Sinclair, has been crowned Miss Jamaica World.

She beat 17 other finalists to take the crown on Saturday at the pageant’s grand coronation at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.

Sinclair is a travel enthusiast who said her life ambition “… is to strike a balance between my personal development and my professional goals, which include traveling the world, to bridge the cultural and sociological disconnect that seems to be increasingly dividing our global community.”

In a lengthy post made to her Instagram earlier today Solange shares that she is delighted to wear the crown of Miss Jamaica World and that she is ready to bring the Miss World Crown where it Belongs-Jamaica.

“woke up this morning thinking “wow, what a beautiful dream”, just to realise that in fact, I was awake the entire time. Today, I wear the crown of Jamaica through the Miss Jamaica World platform. Today, Jamaica chose me to represent her on a global scale. In a way that I could never imagine: Beauty, from the inside out, with a purpose. With a dream. With a desire to fight and stand up for those whose voices are muffled and drowned by the sounds of pain and adversity. Today, I represent Jamaica on a far deeper level than wearing my flag anywhere I go. Your support and well wishes have been profound. I cannot express how much your words have impacted me, Instagram Fambily. And I couldn’t imagine this journey without You and the seventeen beautiful ladies with whom I was blessed to have shared this opportunity. We all shined. We all showcased a fire that burns within. The Miss Jamaica World 2017 Queens are some of the strongest, most intelligent, kind-hearted, fierce and hilarious set of individuals I’ve ever come across. I will not let you ladies down. I step out for you, Jamaica. I represent for you. And I will not let you down. China, I hope you’re ready, because Jamaica is ready to bring her crown to where it belongs 😉”

Miss World 2017, will be the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant, it will be held on 18 November 2017 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre, Sanya, China PR. Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
