Road Elf defends Heterosexuality with new Refix

Remixes, remakes or simply just a refix of a popular song is nothing new in the culture of music, over the years several artistes both locally and internationally have put their own twists to new tracks or ones decades old. This time around rising dancehall talent Clifford Hall, who goes by the moniker ‘Road Elf ‘, has added his own flavor to the hugely successful Pills and Potions track from International Artiste Nicki Minaj .

Formerly known as Terro3000, Road Elf’s breakthrough single in 2008 was a sample of Foreigner’s ‘I want to know what love is’. The remake ‘In My Life’ was seemingly a great catapult for him, making his name more recognized in the local music industry and opening many doors such as opportunities to perform at major events including Fully Loaded.

As for the recent remake of ‘Pills and Potions’, produced by Nexx from Tro Bak Entertainment, the track is expected to be a huge success. Since the release of the track Road Elf has been receiving nothing but positive feedback for his version of ‘Pills and Potions’, with heavy rotations on several radio stations including Zip 103 FM and Hitz 92fm.

‘The remix has been getting great feedback, everyone loves it. I have gotten many Dub plate requests from radio jocks and selectors so far’, said Elf.

Personally Road Elf loved the riddim and melody of Nicki Minaj’s track; he was therefor motivated to remake it the real ‘Jamaican Dancehall’ way. Adding lines that promote heterosexuality and a commitment to that form of relationship.

“Everyone is free to live their life in any way they want, as for me and my crew we love women in all forms, shapes and nationalities, and we promote that mentality, straight!” Elf reiterated

Road Elf’s recent single ‘Tribal Touch’, was the only dancehall song to be featured on US based CollegeDjs latest mix tape. He is also to release a huge collaboration through his label Ballaz Production, which is expected to be as big as as or even bigger than his ‘Head top’ collaboration with dancehall duo RDX.
